Ann Eliza Hester, born ca1835 Robeson County, North Carolina and Elias McClean were married 19 DEC 1855, Robeson County, North Carolina. Ann Eliza Hester was the daughter of Jasper Hester and his wife, Alice Smith. Elias was reportedly killed on 4 SEP 1864 in Petersburg, Virginia while fighting in the civil war.
Ann Eliza was a first cousin of mine (several times removed!), but I have very little information on her or her descendants. I do know that she and Elias were the parents of at least four children -
- Joseph A. McClean b.ca1857
- Alice Frances McClean b.ca1860
- Henry Quince McClean 1863-1914
- Lucy Ann McClean born shortly after the death of her father, married to S.E. Willoughby.
