Obituary SIster Mary Elizabeth Rinehart (1904)

The Gospel Messenger (May 1904) -

Rinehart, Sister Mary Elizabeth, nee Early, died May 15, 1904, at her home near Lima, Ohio, aged 62 years, 2 months and 8 days. She was a very consistent member of the Brethren Church for about forty four years. On the day of her death she attended Sunday school and took an active part, as usual. Returning home she ate a hearty dinner, after which she was stricken with apoplexy, and died in a very short time. She was married to Jacob B. Rinehart Oct. 1, 1867. To this union were born seven children. Her husband and two children preceded her to the spirit world. Three of the children are at home. Services at the Sugar Creek church by Elder Samuel Driver and David Byerly.

Mary Elizabeth Early Rinehart was a second cousin five times removed. She was the daughter of Samuel (1810-1897) Early & Harriet Wright Early (1810-1885).
