William Harrison Phillips & his wife, Sarah Jane Early Phillips ca1915
William was the son of Robert Phillips & his wife, Permelia Hess. Sarah & William were the parents of 10 children, all but one of whom lived to maturity. The children were:
- Elva Leanna marr Eden Barkalow
- David Allen marr Mary Medlar, marr Louise Thorpe
- Mariba Idella marr Irwin Barkalow
- Elwood William marr Edna McCune (my ancestors)
- Robert Francis marr Bessie Moyer
- Clarence Edward did not marry
- John Early marr Bertha Brose
- Clinton Marion died at the age of 1yr & 1 day
- Charles Monroe marr Lottie Williams
- Earl Cora marr Lillian Spitler, marr Mrs. Irene Rauch
This Phillips line is out of Virginia & descends from James Phillips & his wife, Nancy Alford. Watch for more on them later in the blog.

Is this Mark's line? I have an Annie/Nannie Alford who married a Samuel Chinn. She was born in 1869, he in 1854 in Fauquier county, Virginia
