Shreckhise, Daniel K., born near Mt. Sidney, Va., Sept. 17, 1839, died Aug. 1, 1908, aged 68 years, 10 minths and 14 days. He spent his life at the place of his birth. He was always a good neighbor and friend. He was a member of the Lutheran Church. His wife, (Rebecca Early) four sons and two daughters survive him. Services in the Pleasant Valley Church by Mr. Files, assisted by Bro. A.D. Garber. Text, 2 Tim. 4:7. Interment in the Melanthean Chapel Cemetery.
