When you have a research trip coming try this for organizing your to do lists.
Print off the home page of all libraries & Archives you plan on visiting, to that add your to do list for each one. If you have cemeteries to visit locate them on line and print off their website as well, then adding your personal to do lists.
I also include maps, directions and hotel reservation information.
After making sure I have it all, I bind it all together with a comb binding machine. I can keep notes on everything from my research to my thoughts on the hotel. All in one place, all neatly bound, no loose papers to drop or leave behind.
