Miss Bernice Jacobs entertained with a charming post-nuptial party at her home on East Main Street, Saturday evening honoring Mrs. Everett Chrilly who before her recent marriage was Miss Thelma Campbell.
The evening was spent playing bridge at which game the guests formed two tables. Prizes were awarded Mrs. Richard Miller and the guest of honor, the former in turn also presenting her award to the latter.
The tallies in heart design carried out the valentine effect and in the dining room where at the close of the game, a two-course luncheon was served, the same appointmentss prevailed.
The table was cenetered with an attractive arrangement of red and white roses and white sweet peas and at either end were placed tall red tapers in crystal holders.
Valentine place cards and red heart shaped nut cups containing tiny red candles marked the places. At the place of honor guest was also a lovely gift from the hostess attractively wrapped and sealed with tiny hearts.
Covers were laid for the Misses Martha Henry, Ruth and Esther Kruse, Suzanne Yager, Caroline Mungovan, Dessie Quincy, LeNore Miller, Mrs. Richard Miller, and the honor guest and hostess.
Miss Jacobs was assisted during the evening by her mother, Mrs. Pauline Jacobs. The party was the first of a series of social affairs planned as post-nupital courties for Mrs. Crilly.
