Stephen Winstead was the son of William M. Winstead (1821-1879) and his wife, Emily Crabtree Winstead (1829-1900). He married 1 FEB 1872 in Owensboro, Daviess County, Kentucky to Mary Cambron (1853-1926). Together they were the parents of at least eight children - Myrtle, Maudie, Virginia, Stephen, Ludie, Mary, Frank C., and Charlie. Stephen was born 27 MAY 1849 in Daviess County, Kentucky & died there 27 FEB 1932. He was buried in the Catholic Cemetery there in town.
