Why can't all estates be this easy - "To my five children.." AND NAME THEM BY NAME?!?
In the estate of W.H. Shanklin, 1914, Christian County, Kentucky, he names each of his five children by name when leaving them an inheritance. A great find.

Isn't that great? I have one dating back to 1790 where he lists his wife, children and sons-in-law! Sure makes lineage a little easier!

I just LOVE settlement papers in estates! This is a fabulous example.
