The quilt shown in my photograph (sorry abt the rafia), was made by Molly Emert to celebrate the birth of her soon to be born grandson, Raymond Phillips. Raymond was born in August of 1909 - and was the oldest of her grandchildren. The quilt is made for a double bed, and is entirely hand stitched. At this point it has no stains or rips. Its exposure to light is limited - hence its hanging in my back hallway. I turn it on the rack twice a year.
