George F. Methard was the son of George Methard (1760-1855) and his wife, Christena Fox (1774-1846). He was born in Pennsylvania on 21 MAR 1798 and died in Montgomery County, Ohio on 2 APR 1858. He was married on 11 OCT 1821 to Elizabeth Garrison, the daughter of Jonathon Garrison. Elizabeth was born 29 JUN 1806 in Pennsylvania and died 8 DEC 1887 in Montgomery County, Ohio. It is stated that Elizabeth is buried with George but as of this writing no stone has been found for her.
Together George & Elizabeth were the parents of two sons, George G. Methard and Michael Methard (1846-1923). They are buried in Gebhart Church Cemetery, Miami Township, Montgomery County, Ohio.
