Valentine, John D., son of George and Susannah Deeter Valentine, was born in Miami County, Ohio on July 31, 1870, died April 16, 1930. In February 1889, he united with the Church of the Brethren. Oct. 15, 1893, he married Ida Jane Kreitzer. For more than a year he had been in ill health. Since January he had been unable to lie down. March 23, he was annointed. He leaves his wife, two daughters, one brother, two sisters and one granddaughter. Funeral from the Painter Creek church by Roy Honeyman assisted by Wilmer Petry.
