Mrs. Mary Apple Expires At Troy


Funeral services for Mrs. Mary A. Apple, 79, a former Miamisburg resident, who passed away at the Stouder Memorial Hospital at Troy Sunday afternoon at 2 o'clock were held Tuesday afternoon from a funeral home in Tipp City with burial in Hill Grove Cemetery this city.

Mrs. Apple had resided at the Feighley Lutheran Home in Tipp City for the past year. For many year she has resided on North Main Street this city She was taken ill iwth complications last Wednesday and had submitted to an operation Thursday morning. She was born October 9, 1862 at Newmans, Pa., and was the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. William Leininger. She was preceded in death by her husband, Adam Apple, 30 years ago.

She is survived by three sisters, Mrs. Jennie Miller and Mrs. Guy Kingery of Cincinatti and Mrs. Cora Haines of Dayton.

Mary Anna Leinger, daughter of William Leinger and his wife Malinda Rabolt born 9 Oct 1862, Lancaster County, Pennsylvania, died 13 Sep 1942 in Miami County, Ohio.   She married 9 Mar 1886, to Adam Apple, son of John Apple & Catherine Weaver Apple.  To my knowledge the couple had no children.  The couple is buried in Hill Grove Cemetery, Miamisburg, Montgomery County, Ohio.   Adam Apple is my first cousin 3 times removed.
