Fearless Friday - The Death of John B. Gebhart (1874)

   Died From His Injuries
John Gebhart, who resides with his father near Germantown, was engaged on Sunday last, in company with others, in attempting to ride an untamed colt up and down a lane, near the farm house.  Gebhart had succeeded in mounting the colt and riding it a little way, when he was sudedenly thrown violently to the ground, his head striking the fence.  He died on Wednesday from his injuries.  He leaves a wife and three children.


 John B. Gebhart was the son of John Gebhart & wife, Lydia Funk.  He was born in 1848 and died 5 MAY 1874 in German Township, Montgomery County, Ohio.  He was married to Nancy Ball in 1872.  The names of their three children are not presently known.
