Wedding Wednesday (1927)

Miss Viola Block Weds L. Krugman

Miss Violet Block, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. William Block, 333 Twelfth street, became the bride of Leonard J. Krugman, son of Mr. and Mrs. William Krugman, 530 East Avenue, at a pretty church wedding Saturday afternoon at four O'clock.  The ceremony was performed at Grace Lutheran Church by Rev. Harry C. Mubley.

The bridal party arrived at the alter banked with ferns, palms and flowers to strains of organ musicplayed J.G. Schmitgen.  Prior to the appearance of the party Miss Mildred Krause sang, "I Love You Truly", accompanied by Miss Helene Haserodt.  The bride was given in marriage by her father.

The bride was charmingly gowned in white taffeta with a veil and carried an arm bouquet of white roses.

Miss Mildred Kothe of Lakewood as maid of honor, wore peach taffeta, and carried Ward roses.  The bridesmaids, Miss Marian Witt, a cousin of the bride and Miss Margaret Krugman, sister of the groom, wore taffeta frocks in green and orchid; respectively, and carried colonial bouquets.

Nelson Krugman served his brother as best man, while Donald Gehl and Wilfred Block were groomsmen.

Immediately following the ceremony a reception was held in the auditiorium of St. John's School where Mr. and Mrs. Krugman received eighty four of their relatives and friends.

Both Mr. and Mrs. Krugman are graduates of Elyria high school, Mrs. Krugman being employed at the Fox Furnace company offices, and Mr. Krugman at the Harshaw Fuller Goodwin company.
